Hanauma Bay Nature Preserve is about 10 miles east of Waikiki. This bay was declared a protected marine life conservation area and underwater park in 1967. The Hanauma Bay nature preserve is home to more than 250 different species of fish. The beach was absolutely beautiful. The water was absolutely beautiful. Being up close and personal with such colorful fish was an experience I will cherish forever...or at least until I return and do it again. It is a private bay open to the public so you don't hear much about it. Mau no ka oi! (Maui is number One!). t was beauti and beyond... at the bottom of high cliff mountains looking at the horseshoe shape beach. follow the road beyond the bay and talk about breath taking views!!! uncapturable on film, it's got to be seen with your own eyes. someday i will go back!
